Clavam Drops is a prescription antibiotic medication from Alkem Laboratories Ltd. used to treat various bacterial infections in children. It is an oral suspension that contains a combination of amoxicillin (80mg per 10ml) and clavulanic acid (11.4mg per 10ml). 
Uses and Benefits
Clavam Drops work by killing the infection-causing bacteria and preventing them from developing resistance to the antibiotic. It is used for a wide range of conditions, including: 
  • Respiratory tract infections: Bronchitis, pneumonia, tonsillitis, and sinusitis.
  • Ear infections: Acute otitis media.
  • Urinary tract infections: Uncomplicated infections of the urinary tract.

How to Use and Precautions
  • Preparation: The drops usually come as a dry powder with sterile water provided in the pack. Shake the bottle well to loosen the powder, slowly add the water up to the mark on the label, and shake well to make the suspension.
  • Administration: The drops are for oral administration. Use the provided dropper or a measuring cup for accurate dosing.
  • Timing: The medicine should be taken with food to improve absorption and minimize the risk of stomach upset.
  • Complete the Course: Do not stop giving the medicine to your child even if they start feeling better. The full course must be completed to ensure the infection is fully eradicated and to prevent antibiotic resistance.
  • Storage: Store the reconstituted suspension in the refrigerator or as directed on the label and use it within seven days.
