Clobetasol Propionate 0.05% w/v + Salicylic Acid 3% w/v lotion is a prescription topical medication used primarily to treat eczema and psoriasis. It combines a strong corticosteroid to reduce inflammation and itching with a keratolytic agent to remove scales and soften the skin. 

• Clobetasol propionate: A potent corticosteroid that blocks the production of chemical messengers (prostaglandins) responsible for making the skin red, swollen, and itchy.
• Salicylic acid: A keratolytic agent (peeling agent) that breaks down keratin clumps, removes dead skin cells, softens the skin, and helps the clobetasol penetrate the skin more effectively. 

• Psoriasis, which causes red, scaly patches.
• Eczema and dermatitis, associated with inflamed, itchy, cracked, and rough skin. 

• Application: Apply a thin layer to the affected areas, typically once or twice a day. Wash your hands before and after use unless treating your hands.
• Duration: Do not use for longer than the prescribed duration (usually not more than two weeks) or on large areas of the body to prevent excessive absorption into the bloodstream.
• Restrictions: Avoid use on the face, groin, underarms, open wounds, blisters, or lesions unless specifically directed by a doctor. Do not cover the treated area with a bandage or dressing, as this can increase the risk of side effects.
• Common Side Effects: Most side effects are temporary and mild, including a burning or stinging sensation, itching, dryness, skin peeling, and skin thinning at the application site.
• Severe Side Effects: Prolonged or improper use can lead to serious side effects, such as vision problems (cataracts or glaucoma), adrenal gland problems, and increased susceptibility to infections.
