Omnigel 10gm is a topical pain-relief gel manufactured by Cipla Ltd. that provides quick relief from muscle pain, joint stiffness, and inflammation associated with sprains, strains, and arthritis.
Active Ingredients
The gel works due to the combined action of its four key ingredients:
  • Diclofenac Diethylamine (equivalent to Diclofenac Sodium 1% w/w): A non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that reduces pain and inflammation by blocking the release of pain-causing chemical messengers in the body.
  • Linseed oil (3% w/w): Possesses anti-inflammatory properties and helps minimize swelling.
  • Methyl Salicylate (10% w/w): Provides a counter-irritant effect and reduces inflammation.
  • Menthol (5% w/w): Offers a soothing and cooling sensation upon application by dilating blood vessels.
Uses and Benefits
  • Musculoskeletal Pain: Provides effective relief from low back pain, shoulder pain, neck stiffness, and general muscle aches.
  • Joint Pain and Stiffness: Used to manage pain and stiffness associated with chronic conditions like rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis.
  • Injuries: Accelerates recovery from acute injuries such as sprains, strains, and sports injuries.
  • Reduces Inflammation and Swelling: The combined formulation targets the root causes of pain and inflammation, easing discomfort and improving mobility.
How to Use and Precautions
  • Application: Clean and dry the affected area before gently massaging a thin layer of gel into the skin.
  • Frequency: Apply the gel 3-4 times a day or as directed by a healthcare professional.
  • External Use Only: Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, nose, or open wounds/broken skin.
  • Do Not Cover: Do not wrap, bandage, or apply heat to the treated area after application.
