Key Information and Safety
  • Administration: The “MD” means Mouth Dissolving. Place the tablet on your tongue and allow it to dissolve rapidly with saliva; you do not need water to swallow it. Do not handle the tablets with wet hands. It can be taken with or without food.
  • Timing: The first dose is typically taken shortly before the start of chemotherapy, radiation, or surgery, with further doses as prescribed by a doctor. It starts working within 30 minutes to 2 hours.
  • Do Not Stop Abruptly: Continue the full course as directed, even if you feel better, to ensure effectiveness.
  • Alcohol: Use caution with alcohol consumption as it can increase side effects like drowsiness and dizziness.
  • Warnings: Inform your doctor about existing heart or liver problems, as dose adjustments may be needed. Do not take this medicine with apomorphine (for Parkinson’s disease) due to the risk of a sharp drop in blood pressure.
