Rosuvastatin 20mg + Aspirin 150mg gastro-resistant capsules are a combination medication used to prevent heart attacks and strokes in individuals at high risk.

• Uses: This combination is primarily prescribed for the prevention of myocardial infarction (heart attack), stroke, and heart-related chest pain (angina). It is also used to lower abnormally high cholesterol and triglyceride levels in the blood.
• How it Works: Rosuvastatin is a statin that lowers “bad” cholesterol (LDL) production in the liver and increases “good” cholesterol (HDL) levels. Aspirin is an anti-platelet (blood-thinning) drug that prevents platelets from clumping together to form harmful blood clots.
• Administration: The capsule should be swallowed whole with a glass of water and not crushed or chewed. Taking it with food may help avoid stomach upset.
• Precautions:
  • Do not stop taking the medicine without consulting your doctor, as this may increase your risk of a heart event.
  • Inform your doctor about any history of liver or kidney disease, bleeding disorders, or muscle problems before starting the medication.
  • It may increase the risk of bleeding, so exercise caution during activities like shaving or using sharp objects.

  • Alcohol: Avoid alcohol consumption as it may worsen side effects like dizziness and increase the risk of liver or stomach issues.
