The Vitcofol Injection is a vitamin supplement used to treat and prevent nutritional deficiencies, particularly those of certain B vitamins. It is a prescription medication administered by a healthcare professional, not meant for self-injection. 

Vitcofol Injection contains a combination of three essential B vitamins: 

This injection helps treat deficiencies in vitamins B12, B9 (folate), and B3 (niacin). It can manage certain types of anemia, especially megaloblastic anemia, by supporting red blood cell production. Vitcofol Injection also aids nervous system function and can address symptoms of nerve damage related to B12 deficiency. It may also be prescribed during pregnancy to ensure adequate folate levels, important for fetal development and reducing birth defect risks. 

Common side effects are usually mild and include pain, redness, or swelling at the injection site, nausea, upset stomach, diarrhea, headache, or dizziness. Severe or persistent side effects should prompt medical consultation. 

Vitcofol Injection should only be given by a doctor or nurse and not self-administered. It’s important to inform your doctor about your medical history, including liver or kidney issues, diabetes, or blood disorders. Alcohol is generally discouraged as it can interfere with folic acid absorption. Also, disclose any known allergies to the injection’s ingredients.
